Dental Assistant
STL Urgent Dental is accepting applications for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our Forest Park team and help provide efficient, compassionate care to patients with urgent dental needs.
We are a fast-paced, patient-focused practice looking for someone who is dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable assisting patients who may be in pain or experiencing a dental emergency. This position offers meaningful hands-on experience working alongside dentists in a variety of urgent treatment situations.
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during urgent or emergency situations
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
Duties
This position supports STL Urgent Dental’s dentists in providing urgent, problem-focused dental care at the Forest Park location.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing treatment rooms and dental instruments
- Assisting dentists during examinations and emergency procedures
- Taking and processing digital dental X-rays
- Providing chairside assistance for extractions, root canals, crowns, fillings, and other treatments
- Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilizing instruments and following infection-control procedures
- Providing patients with post-operative instructions and treatment information
- Monitoring inventory and assisting with clinical supply ordering
- Helping create a calm, professional environment for patients experiencing pain or anxiety
Schedule
- Part-time
- Evening/night shifts required
- Weekend availability
- In-person position
Pay
- $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
