Dental Assistant
STL Urgent Dental is seeking an experienced and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team for multiple locations - Mondays at Forest Park, and Fridays for both South County & St. Charles.
We are a fast-paced, patient-focused practice looking for someone who is dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable assisting patients who may be in pain or experiencing a dental emergency. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping patients in distress, and can remain calm and professional during emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during urgent or emergency situations
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing treatment rooms and dental instruments for patient care
- Assisting dentists during examinations and emergency dental procedures
- Take and process digital dental radiographs
- Perform chairside assisting for extractions, root canals, crowns, fillings, and other urgent dental treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols
- Educate patients on post-operative instructions and treatment plans
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies
- Help create a calm, professional environment for patients experiencing pain or anxiety
Schedule
- Part-time
- Evening/night shifts required
- Weekend availability
- In-person position
Pay
- $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
